How to Use OpenClaw in Your Small Business
Hosts Hannes Rudolph and Patrick Erichsen · OpenClaw
Guests PJ Standley, Graham McBain, and Joe Pishgar
Date October 14, 2026
Length 1:00:46
Patrick and I are joined by PJ Standley and Graham McBain to talk about using OpenClaw in a small business: where to start, what to automate, and how to connect the software you already use.
PJ started with his family’s pest-control business and now helps local businesses put OpenClaw to work. He walks us through his approach: connect the tools a business already relies on, observe the work people repeat, and turn useful routines into skills. His examples include proposals, bid calculations, email and calendar briefings, and bringing leads from different sources into one place.
We talk about the human side of getting started, too: building trust, learning to guide an agent, and using your knowledge of the business to decide what it should do. PJ’s goal is to help clients become confident enough to run their own setup without depending on him.
Patrick explains how skills and plugins fit together, and how they help an agent work with your tools and follow repeatable processes. Later, Joe Pishgar joins us to introduce the OpenClaw community forum, a place to ask questions and share what you’ve built. We close with a look at skill search and improvements to the model catalog.
